Elsewhere in this issue, in “50 Ways to Green Your Business”, we highlight major companies’ embrace of energy conservation and other sustainability initiatives. It is both a cause for celebration and a call to action. If these companies can change, with demonstrable results, what would happen if we all did?
That last question (what would happen if we all did?) is key.
As a Christian, we know that lasting change comes from the heart and is driven by the simple desire to glorify and praise our creator. We don’t change for money, profit or praise. We do it for God.
I applaud the companies that are “greening their business” and I am confident that our heart driven change — treating God’s creation with love because it’s the right thing to do for us and for our neighbor (Mk 12:33) — will make this world a better place for us all.
From those who know Christ, a better world is the answer to the question “what would happen if we all did?”
